Today is a special day!

On 6th April 1974, ABBA won the Eurovision with Waterloo. Chelsea drew 1-1 with Leeds Utd in the usual fisitcuffs between them. An IRA bomb went off in central Manchester and the city centre was locked down for 24 hours. How do I know all this? Because today is the 38th wedding anniversary of me and Mrs Clarion. We booked our wedding night stay in the Midland Hotel, Manchester but couldn't go out anywhere because of the bomb threat. An explosive start to our marriage for sure! I told the waiter I would buy a celebration drink for all the guests in the lounge but he said he would advise against it as they were a convention from Alcoholics Annonymous! A day to remember indeed. A special day!
