Car Nicotine Odour
12 Answers
Does anybody know how to eliminate smoke odour from an Audi Sports saloon with part leather/suede seats.
I bought this car recently and have tried everything from expensive valetting to Febreze but still the nicotine smell persists.
Any tips/advice would be gratefully aprreciated...
Thanks

You might need to change it occasionally, but I bet you will find that it absorbs the smell over time. You might need to do it a few times if the odour is very bad, but if you persevere I think you will find it will work!!! Let me know how it goes.
The smell might not be from the fabric, but from the ventilation system.
It might be worth letting off a ventilation cleaning spray.
They are quite expensive - I just bought one for about £7.50ish from a Unipart parts centre. They kill bacterial and fungal infections that breed in the damp caused by air conditioning systems.
You run the engine, with the air conditioning running and the ventilation on recirculate. The spray is set to fully discharge itself and you put it in the middle and shut the doors and windows.
