Sainte Foy is really small, isn't it. I should think it's quite pretty, but at the top of the road as you come into the village, there's a load of building work going on.

On the plus side, we just drove up and parked right in the middle of the village, about 50yds from the bottom chair lift.

rather a spectacular Church and far too grandoise....have you been up the road to Bourg and then driven the D1090 towards La Thuile....some switchbacks there....

Well yes, sort of. Driving from Geneva to Val d'Isere, you go though Bourg, and then up past La Thuile.
