Or you could take her out for a meal at a nice restaurant.
Or get her a sunshine buddie from argos see the link below www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=4501&langId=-1&searchTerms=sunshine+buddies
If all else fails get her a gift voucher for her favourite shop.
I once bought mine a clockwork mouse, I was only 4 at the time and it was the only present I think she ever remembered.... the only one she ever talked about anyway :-)
Back to your question: depending on your budget & your mums taste... theatre tickets, a plant (To remind her she is loved all through the year), a nicely framed photograph of ???, a tin badge that says "For The Mother That Has Everything" or you go round early lunch time with a good bottle of champers & some fresh orange juice and see how the day pans out :-)
Jenni_luvved I got my mum some prints for Christmas. It is fun choosing the right print but I don't know if you can do this in time for next Sunday or not.

Treat her as queen for the day - absolutely no housework, cooking etc, arrange for yourself or another family member to do it all. Pamper her - give her breakfast in bed (with a flower on the tray) while you run her a scented bath & leave her with plenty of time to enjoy it while you wash the car.
Just give her a relaxing day, speaking as a mother, it's worth far more than just handing over some cash in Argos.
Hi jenni_luvved,
We love our mums but they are such a pain to buy for aren't they!!
I'm planning to get my mums some vouchers for a beauty therapy session, someone got me some last year and it was so thoughtful as I spent ages deciding what treatment to get and its nice to feel pampered and not have to pay for it!! Or if you want to why not book a day break for the two of you at a spa centre, you could have some treatments, a splash in the pool/spa, a nice lunch, and some good female bonding!
Have fun and whatever it is you get her, she'll love it because it came from you!

my mums like this as she owns a shop that sells all sorts of stuff so no point in buying things for her.
i went onto my computer and knocked up a load of vouchers for things like "one days vacuuming" or "one supermarket shopping trip" and "one home cooked meal", "one window washing session", "washing up" etc etc of course you can tailor them to suit her.
and these are redeemable at any time, so basically when she wants a day off from doing something, she just 'redeems' a coupon and you get stuck in.
its just a novelty but fun for her
Joko - what a fab idea, will be borrowing that one I think.
I intended to do one of those memory books on www.truprint.co.uk which look like an excellent and thoughtful idea - but haven't quite got round to it. Bought a necklace instead...
