it would be interesting to know what made everybody laugh uncontrollably. for me there were half a dozen - but top of the list has to be the late great bob monkhouse. to me he was the king

Ardal O'Hanlon made me laugh my arse off a couple of weeks ago. And i met him and had a wee chat with him and Michael Redmond afterwards. Very nice they were too :)
Peter Kay - mainly because he grew up in the same era as me and I too tried to tape the top 40 off Piccadilly 261 and edit out the DJ.
The Irish comedian Brendan Grace also has me in stitches.
But nobody makes me laugh as much as the mechanic who said my car needed over £1000 spening on it when I only took it in to have an indicator bulb changed.
I think that the beauty of Catherine Tate was its predictability. You were never taken by surprise. As soon as she appeared as one of her characters you knew exactly what would evolve, even to the point of saying the phrases before she did. Nonetheless funny for that, though.
