Do you go for the odds, the horses name, the colours or what? I've picked one because it is my lucky number and one because it has part of my name in it.

I've never bet on it :-) If I did I'd probably go by horses name and the odds.

Sky gave me a £10 free bet on the National. I chose Junior at 16/1. If it wins I'm quids in. If it doesn't I've lost nothing. I don't usually bet on the horses.
I always used to be on a jockey who had the same intial and surname as me.

He never won!

My grandad always backed horses with the third letter R.....so his tip from the grave is RARE BOB.....that's where my ten bob each way is going today...33-1 in todays paper....:-)
I've chosen mine because the trainer has the same initials and surname as my daughter.
