Trying to install internet security......

i keep getting the message 'the selected folder or drive already contains files. the appliacation cannot be installed to the folder containing other data, because this data can become unavailable after Self-Defense is enabled'. Please can someone tell me what i need to do??!!

What software are you trying to install, the actual product name?

Where did you get it from (boxed product, download etc)?

What folder are you trying to put it in, or are you accepting the default?

Do you already have a version of it installed?

btw I used Google to search on the text "the selected folder or drive already contains files" and that Kaspersky page came up, so it is always worth searching on the internet for the text issued in messages.

Its Kaspersky and ive uninstalled the version that has just expired. I bought it in town and yes it must be the default as ive not changed anything.

From the link I posted it seems you have to manually delete the folder called "Kaspersky Lab" BEFORE starting the install.

Or the other option is to install it in a different directory from the dafault.

Maybe call it "Kaspersky Lab2" or something like that.

Both options are explained on that web site I posted the link to.

Yes thank you very much i deleted it and have managed to install it, also updated everything so im pleased. thanks again. New question though! how to get my iphone in sync with my computer (i connected it to work computer and have all work contacts on it which i need to replace with my contacts on my home pc - could you help me with that at all please?
