Kiki-frog - I have banged on loud and long about the stupidiy of the concept of 'guilt pleasures' in music.

What the fluff is there to be 'guilty' about? I adore cheesy euro-pop and 'Saturday Night' 'Macarena' and 'La Bomba' are among my all-time favourite records, and if anyone thinks i should be 'ashamed' of my taste, even in an ironic way, gets short shrift from me i can tell you.

Class pop is class pop - always has been - even if it is not recognised at the time.

The passing of time has leant a sheen of appreciation for Abba they never had in the 1970's when they were pop pariahs - more lightweight that Boyzone, more vilified than Steps!

I am proud to have had ticekts for their 1979 tour, which I missed due to a course for work, a loss I have never got over!!!
