// They had "lost" a few before they realised that they had to seal the doors in the main "cabin". The Chinese were stepping outside for a pee.
You can imagine the Japs underneath "Ayaaah, now rainin Hinese Kamikaze Boms //
A post AOG would have been proud of. No wonder you are his biggest defender.

According to this they had machine guns & cannons. Why weren't they operative to FARELF forces ?

/// The MK XIV could carry a 250 or 500 lb bomb under the fuselage and two 250 lb bombs under the wings. (Even so it would take a whole squadron of Spitfires to carry the bombload of a single Lancaster bomber-and over much less range!) ///

I consider your post (below) to be at best a dubious stereotype and possibly worse.

I passed comment that you and AOG share the same sense of 'humour'.
Not sure why I needed to explain it.

Excuse me Gromit, except for the last line this is not humour, it actually happened.
This was an unnecessary response by you but, boy, you love to shyte stir don't you. Your comment that I was effectively an apologist for AOG was well below the belt. If your half-blinded eyes hadn't noticed in reading various posts, I am usually having a go at AOG, except for the times he brings up a gem of humour, which he can do from time to time.
I am what would be called in the 1990's a wet-tory, i.e. closer to centre-pragmatic politics. I admire Chris Patten, the leader and PM that Britain should have had, and perhaps a Pres of the EEC.
I was expecting an apology from you not more insults.
