Careful there, d9f1c7. In this country we don't have "trial by media". Okay, the guy said something-or-other. And then somebody else - whose motives we know nothing about - comes out and gives HIS version of what the first guy said. The truth could still be one, or the other, or something in between, so don't jump to conclusions.
He was a career politician who backed Blair. When Blair became PM, he made him a Peer.
There are many who are of the opinion that Bush, Blair and less so Obama, are guilty of illegal wars, of war crimes and huge hypocrisy. That would go down particularly well in Pakistan where these comments were allegedly made.
The US have offered a bounty on Hafiz Muhammad Saeed. He has never been arrested, charged or found guilty of anything. Yet a foreign power, the US has put up $10million for his capture. That is almost certainly against international law.
It may have been daft for the Peer to offer the same for the Presidents, but it has at least highlighted events.

No. If Hafiz Muhammad Saeed is guilty, then the Pakistanis must find him and then the US must put in an extradition request. To just put a bounty on the head of someone from another country, totally bypassing the law of that land and justice is wrong.
