Me and my finace are going on a 2 night cruise soon. We are really looking forward to it and excited. I am just a bit nervous/scared how it will feel on the ship. Did anyone feel sea sick? Especially at night, do you feel the ship moving when trying to sleep? Any any other advice you want to give... please!
On my first cruise we hit a force 10 storm in the Bay of Biscay..............my friend was ill but I was okay, the worst part was trying to keep your feet.
All the other cruises I've been on have been fine, and most of the time, when indoors, you can't really tell you're on a ship............I love cruises........enjoy!
Depends how big the boat is. The biggest cruise ships have stabilisers, so the passengers feel very little discomfort. Smaller ones don't always have stabilisers. You could ask the cruise company, but I expect your vessel will have stabilisers.
If you are prone to sea sickness, then use Transderm Scopolamine patch about 4 hours before you sail.......if you are not prone to sea sickness then nothing much will happen to you in 48hours on a ship.
Have been on three cruises and loved them. Can't wait for the next in August.
We weren't sea sick but then the seas weren't particularly rough.
Where are you going, it must be a 'taster'cruise if it's just two days.
We also find that the motion of the sea rocks you to sleep, sleep so well on a cruise. The first time we went we took sea sickness tablets but never needed them and havent since. You will have an amazing time and will probably be hooked on cruising as so many of us are...
Went around the Med during my secondary school years - educational cruise. Med was very calm. Could hardly discern one was afloat. Besides doesn't everyone like being rocked to sleep :-)
