After visiting Asda today and reading some comments on FB, I was wondering why some people have children if they can't wait to see the back of them when they return to school tomorrow?

Sherrard you may find they still want to be with you and go on family holidays for years. Mine did and someone said to me that is a really big compliment that they still want to holiday with you when they don't have to. Oldest now 35 and we still meet up at least twice a week.

Sherrard enjoy their childhood with them, give them happy memories of you all sharing the fun times together. The days pass so quickly. I had to work part time when mine was small and I still think back, feeling guilty at having to leave her with someone else.

Hi all, I worked until five years ago and feel like I missed out so much with my first three children. Just don't get why people openly begrudge spending time with their children. The children must get 'vibes' from their parents.

It's not so much wanting to be rid of your children, it's wanting to be back in a routine.

What annoys me is parents who question everyone elses parenting techniques - I have friends that do this and it drives me batty!

they can't wait for them to go back to school because everything is so expensive, mothers have to work and childcare is hard to find!

It was a sincere question, I worked full time with my first three so I know what it's like to be stressed - never wished to see the back of them though.
