I am going on an escorted coach tour of the USA with my mum and we will be sharing a room but she is an awful snorer, last time we went away overnight I had to sleep in the bathroom to get any sleep, but this time we are going to be away two weeks and I don't want to sleep in bathrooms for two weeks and anyone advise me on good earplugs.
I have tried getting to sleep with my ipod playing music through my earplugs but I could still hear her.
I could get another room on the trip but the cost was quite expensive.

I use earplugs as the OH snores a lot. I can't think of a particular brand, I just pick them up at the local chemist, I use the foam ones not the wax ones.
I use the foam ones...the shaped ones are better than the blunt ended ones.. I can still hear Redman though... but down graded from Elephant with Sinusuitis to warthog with a cold

I have no personal knowledge of these at all, just mentioning them.
I agree with rowan, get the shaped ones.
If this works for 4 out of 5 people why not give this a go for her

Those snore sprays are disgusting, taste like the smell of old feet.
While you are in the US you should be able to find a baseball bat...
Mufflers from Boots the Chemist. They are wax but you shape them with your warm hands and they fit snug. If they are not blocking out all sound then you haven't got them in properly.
might be worth trying to get another room at the last minute when you arrive even if it is for the odd night 2 weeks without sleep you will be psychotic... throw momma from the train.../coach/// whatever
My daughter would sympathise with you. She complains when I am in the same house. I bought an acupressure ring and Snoring Relief Strips from Boots. I`m asleep so I don`t know but she says they make a fantastic difference.
My acupuncturist is having good results with snoring problems so that is worth a try.
Try a sample pack from snore store http://www.snorestore...amples-for-women.html
The snore store also does sample packs of ear plugs , this one is for women http://www.snorestore...amples-for-women.html
Sorry JG1965, I am that mother!! Daughter refuses to share a room with me after she had a sleepless weekend with my snoring. Funnily enough I didn't hear a thing!
Ask at reception for a plug-in electric fan - I have found in noisy environments they create a kind of 'white noise' that allows me to sleep undisturbed.
maggiebee, lol- your reply did make me laugh- bless you!

Apparently I snore like an express train, but like you, I don't hear a thing, I think Mr Boo is making it up to be honest ;-)
Boots silicone earplugs are very efficient.
