Am i the only the one who thought lotr was crap?
All they seem to do is walk around with a ring for 4 hours.
I keep falling asleep when i watch it because it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring

You are a Potter fan so I suppose you like the books and have seen the films? Good for you and all the others who have made the effort viable.

LOTR - I've read the book 5 times. I have been waiting to see if s.one could present a film version that was coherent and true. Jackson's version hasn't disappointed me.
I've read no Harry Potter and only seen extracts of the films. Nothing incites me to improve on those statements.

I am now waiting enthusiastically for the Narnia films.

Nine hours, if you don't mind. Or, if you're watching the extended DVDs, three weeks. All of them utterly wonderful (I saw the last one on an Imax screen). But if you don't like it, you don't have to watch it again. There's lots of other films out there.

hi potterfan, thank god,for your honesty, my husband thinks i'm weird he took me to see the first lotr and i fell asleep after the first half hour, yes i think its rubbish, yes i love harry potter and cant wait for goblet of fire and also the next book, by the way dobby is so much cuter than that stupid little precious creature.

have to say i really enjoyed all of them and i am currently reading the book. i think peter jackson has done a fantastic job and i reate these films highly. the same goes to the harry potter books and films. both fantastic!

Harry potter is great don't get me wrong but it's very modern in that you need lots of going on throughout, lotr is long but then they are supposed to be trekking across a continent.

Hated the books (got annoyed by the plot grinding to a halt for a song or poem), loved the movies. Probably my favourite movie series ever.

Potter: Entertaining but fluff (both books and movies).

Narnia: Loved the books, can't wait for the movie either!

I only just watched the LOTR trilogy - wasn't really interested before, to be honest...(I'm still not!) but after watching the first one I had to see the rest...

Reason one: Aragorn

Reason two: Er...just had to see whether all the walking would finally pay off.

Have you actually read the book? I don't think you can say it's crap really, but I suppose your a potter fan and normally u guys don't like LOTR. Even though Rowling nicked tons of stuff from tolkien.

bloodredrose, i haven't read the books but i started the hobbit and got half way through the first paragraph and nearly fell asleep, it was even more boring and long than the films
