I have a laptop that has just been repaired and the mouse is now very sensitive. For example, when my son is playing pool on it, he lines up the shot but before he has time to take it, the shot has been played. Another example is when the cursor is hovering over an item, before I decide to 'click' it has already taken decision for me and I have opened up the page. This is really annoying and I am sure it is simpe to resolve but I do not know how to. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank-you
OH, and if you have to install the drivers for the touchpad, don't use the people who repaired it again because they've not done it properly if they've not installed all the required drivers.
(in fact you might want to take it back to them and insist the do install all the proper drivers)
from the way I read the question it tap to click that causing the problems.
Go to control panel > mouse and see if there is an option to disable (or at least change the sensitivity) of tap to click, if there's not then you'll have to go to the laptop manufacturers website and download the touchpad drivers and install them, then you will get all the options for the touchpad.
