Moving to Australia, need any helpful hints and tips!
Hello everyone! Hope you are all well!!
Me and my 'sigini' other are starting to look closer at the above. I'll be going over as a fully qualified pediatric nurse and he's got his degree and will be qualified as a PT instructor but wants to go over on a student visa to do his masters (another seperate thing we need to look into) and I was wondering if anyone had any insights on anything they may have heard of or encountered through a family member of a friend about getting out there?
Ofcourse we've started our own research etc but I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience of anything like that! :)

my SIL is a nurse out there and went out on a normal visa a few months after him and had to wait about 6 months to get a proper visa. she needed to do an english test and pay about £300 for it before she could even get agency work.
from what i remember she had to pay for everything and there was a lot she had to sort out
i'll look out old emails and see if i can get more info of what she had to do

No We haven't put anything in yet, purely just getting an idea of exactly what will be expected/required so we can do our best to get it all together ready to submit when the time is right.
Oh thanks Numnum, that was quite helpful! I was under the impression from what I have heard that nurses actually have an easier time getting in and work etc! I may think about applying for jobs before we move out to possibly make the transition a bit smoother! :)
Thanks for the replies guys!
