My husband has 2 children from a previous relationship and we have 3 children at home. I was wondering if my earnings have to be taken into account when calculating how much child support he has to pay? I work hard to support my family and her Husband 2 be earns twice as much as i do and we struggle to support his children when they stay here weekends and holidays as it is? I'm all for him paying for his children but don't believe that my three children at home should suffer.

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

The online calculator on the CSA website is pretty good, I have looked at it before and am sure it doesnt ask for partners salary. I could be wrong but have a look
Your earnings/benefits are not taken into account mummy2three, child support calculated on childs fathers earnings alone - if your husband has his kids over weekends he should also inform csa as he will be entilted to a %discount. hope this helps.
I think Barmaid answered a thread like this a while ago, I'll see if I can find it.
