Dry skin on outer parts of ears.

A while ago I had a problem with dry flaky skin behind my ears. I started using T-Gel shampoo and it sorted the problem. Recently I have started to get dry flaky skin of the upper parts of my outer ear. I have tried to rub some of the lather of the T-Gel into my ears for a while but it does not seem to be helping. What should I use to help this from happening? Thanks.

I`d try E45 cream

Thanks guys, will check those out. Is the hydrocortisone not dangerous or something? Think I used it before years ago and it came with some sort of warning.

flobadob....hydrocortisone cream is not harmful but only use it until the rash settled.

Sqad, why use the Hydrocortisone AFTER the rash is settled? Shouldn't it be use right now?

Good old HC cream where would we be without it. The danger is only if you use it constantly. I use it on my face from time to time for short periods (against advice really) but I personally think that HC 1% unless used all the time is fine. It's a case of needs must with me.

I get sore skin in the inside of the opening to my ear because I wear ear plugs at night and at work (noisy warehouse). This constant irritation of the plugs and the sweat from them made the skin inside my ears red raw to the point where they bled. I have been finding the use of a healing balm by some company mama nature a great benefit and it has healed all of the sore skin right up. I now apply it morning and night to combat the ear plug irritation and it works so well the sore skin has been kept at bay. This balm salvation has been exellent.
