tv set up

When we turn on the tv, on a regular basis we have to re-set up our channels.
Why does this happen and what can be done to stop this?

When you re-tune do you SAVE your changes?

This happened to my Technika TV. I fixed the problem by doing a first time installation from the general settings screen on the menu (not the tuning screen). I would suggest you try this, if not it may be a hardware fault - the easiest workaround is to get a seperate digital box, they are cheap enough.
I assume you are referring to Digital TV. Which is in lt's last switchover phase in London and the South East . I don't think the general public are supposed to ask such awkward questions , it may reflect very badly on the Government that gave this whole scheme the OK. Sadly the electorate has a short memory , but my guess is there were some serious back-handers involved and vested interests which only a good journalist will eventually bring to light. There are two re-tuning dates during the switchover , but even before these dates the channels still keep changing position and the digital signal is definitely not an improvement on the analogue one. It still seems to be affected by weather ( atmospheric conditions ) and the power ( cost factor ) of the transmitters themselves. I think the general public were led to believe by the very adept spin doctors that the service would be improved. The jury is still out at present . If the signal fails to materialise properly on the BBC channels , will there be a mass rebellion ? ( Withholding of the licence fee ).
I am playing Devil's Advocate here , as I am not yet satisfied.
