Do you think turning a closed down pub into a funeral directors would have a negative effect on a community and make it unpopular?

Not so far from where I live, a pub and its associated living accommodation became a muslim funeral directors and flourished. The site has since been demolished and the firm has moved to new premises.
A building is a building - business will work or fold.
Churches become all sorts of things - remember when top of the pops started? That took place in a former church for years.

I am just scoping it out but its too difficult to get into. Its a shame really. We grew up in a nursing home and both comfortable with the deceased and death.

well assuming the people cannot sit around coffins with a pint or choose their urns from between the optics why should it?

i assume you will gut it and refurbish - as long as its not called the red lion or something and it no longer looks like a pub inside then its just a building like any other - i expect many buildings would surprise ypu if you saw them 50 years ago
