If it were me, I'd wait until the hype dies down for the Xbox 360 first. Then wait until both systems have some good games under their belt - the Xbox 360 has launched with a relatively small lineup, since a lot of games weren't ready for the launch.

Then completely disregard whatever decision you make and buy a Nintendo Revolution instead ;-)

Nintendo are indeed back on the market, and will be launching sometime around/after the PS3.

I think Microsoft have rushed this out to get one up on Sony, so I expect there to be some teething problems with the early models.

Also, because they plan to be out before PS3 they know they can charge a premium price.

I would wait till next year, and when the PS3 comes out there will be a price war which will lower the prices, and by then any teething problems with the XBox 360 should be ironed out.

It is not always a good idea to be first off the block with new technology, Look at the problems people have had with the ipod nano
