Perhaps you should find me some TWR.
just so as you know the FACTS - when a Judge sets a minimum tariff, that is the minimum someone must serve before being considered eligible for parole. there are guidelines on minimum tariffs. For example, a double murderer, with an element of pre-planning will more than likely receive a whole life sentence. A double murderer with no aggravating features (pre-planning, terrorism, sexual motive, abduction etc) will likely receive a minimum term of 30 years. The normal minimum tariff for a single murderer is 15 years. All these are subject to change depending on mitigating/aggravating factors - for example, Joanna Yeates murderer received a minimum tariff of 20 years.
they are not "let out early". They are considered for parole after the minimum term has been served. Release is NOT automatic.
I have to say, there is some breathtaking ignorance on this thread by a certain poster which is all the evidence I need to satisfy myself that vigilantism in any shape or form should be resisted at all costs.
