For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.if you are 16 (as I conclude from the math) are you sure he views you in the light of a serious relationship and not as a "nice kid" (no offence) is he someone who shouldn't have a relationship with you (teacher, counsellor, youth worker)?
Are you sure of your own feelings? again, no offence but at sixteen it is easy to think "this is it," when maybe it isn't. Is there anyone with a cool head on this who knows both of you who you could talk to?...Your post implies that your parents may not be an option?, although this might be a good idea.
Please don't think that I am patronising you. I met my husband of 30 years when I was 14 and he was 17 and dating my older sister. I "knew" and so did he so he kept in touch with the family until I was 16 when we started going out and we married when I finished college at 21.
During that time quite a few of my friends met "the one" onlky to be proved horribly and miserably wrong.
Lastly a warning for which I apologise to you and your man but feel I have to say it. I am sure that you know this man's background well and that he introduces you to his friends and wants every one to know how he feels too. If any of those things are not true, then please be very careful.
