Samantha ' thick as a' Brick is at it again:(

The deluded nightmare that is Samantha Brick has once again ( sadly) put pen to paper and is now having a go at lovely, interesting Mary Beard because she doesn't cnsider her attractive enough apparently. She's still blind to how horrifically vile and shallow she really is. Mind you the Daily Mail are onto a winner with her, everyone's going to read it just because she's possibly the most universally loathed woman in Britain.

the sort of people who would switch off a tv show because of the way the presenter looks are not really the sort of people MB's show will appeal to anyway - so they would not be watching to begin with
people watch shows like MS's because of the subject. she is not presenting miss world or some dollybird quiz show...

very true nox
its not like shes hidious - just because she has not died her hair and coiffered it into a shape, an slapped on makeup does not make her ugly!
there was a thread on here a while ago and some were of the opinion that older ladies should not have long hair ... maybe this is something to do with it
as i said any audience who would switch off are not the market for this show anyway

i only posted this as a way of indicating though it's not the type of viewing figures you get for popular soaps, in consideration i think that it did very well in the viewing stakes.

What?
Did their attention to their appearance hinder?

Dr Brian Cox
Dr Jim Khalil
Professor Robert Winston
or indeed
Dr Alice Roberts
Dr Miriam Stoppard

em10

no, so why should it Mary Beard. In answer it doesn't[i
So the presenters who are intelligent and qualified were not hindered by them also paying attention to how they look ...
[i]so why should it Mary Beard?]
Isn't the point of this thread that she isn't over-bothered about her appearance?
Somebody is confused here and i'm pretty sure it isn't me.
Nox - I agree.
as i said much earlier, I think Mary Beard is excellent and we should see a variety of presenter types on the screen anyway.
