shopping

Why is it that you ladies seem to love shopping? Every bloke I know will go into say a shoe shop pick up a pair of shoes, ask for them in his size try them on buy them and go home. You girls [no offence meant] will go from shop to shop, eventually coming back to the first one [hours later] and buy the first pair you tried on. Even daughter [10] is doing this now. She calls it shop till you drop.what's the fascination girls? I'm not being facetiuos or sarky, I just can't understand the attraction in trudging round a mall for hours on end. Aren't most shoes made by either one or two manufacturers?

shyashley - thanks for your frankness! I don't see myself as a slob [no surprise] but slightly more importantly neither does my wife see me as one. I guess it's the same logic that a bloke goes to a "do", wearing say a jacket etc and sees another bloke in the same garb it's not the end of the world to him; generally both are pleased that they [at least] have neither under or over dressed for the occasion. To a woman seeing someone else in the same outfit can be the end of the evening and the item of clothing is consigned to the back of the wardrobe/bin, the other woman looks better in it than she does etc....
Woofgang, I thought that was abrilliant answer, and Paulz - I agree that we are strange when it comes to shopping. (Don't let the name fool you, I am female :) But I don't fit into the majority as I can go into a shop and walk around in 5 minutes and walk out again, or I'll see something that I know I'll like and would look good and try it on - just to see that it fits so I don't have to much about with exchanges or refunds, I don't parade for ages going 'hmm, but will it go with my cream trousers????' Also, I don't go shoe shopping as I have size 9 feet (size 8 at a push with some trainers) and people look at me like I have 2 heads if I ask for shoes in a size 9 so I give up. But I'm really slim so I guess I look like a golf club on the side!!! :)
women just have more questions to answer than men. We have to think heels or flats, boots or shoes, black or brown/pink/blue/yellow/white, will i wear them with skirts or trousers and so on. Also, women's shoes are so bloody uncomfortable that it takes us a couple of hours to psych ourselves up to actually pay money for something that will later torture us.
