If the black (for example) is potted, but then cannot be replaced on its own spot as another ball is in the way, I believe it goes on the next available spot going down in points values. Where does it go it its own spot AND the spot for every other colour are also blocked by other balls??

As near to its own spot as possible without touching the obstructing ball

it happened about an hour ago in the final with the pink. Both answers are exactly right

as close to the black spot as possible and if both sides are "equal" so to speak, on the underside of the spot.

As close to its spot as possible but it must remain in the same line as the spots.
