I certainly wouldn't pluck the hairs out on your upper lip, not only would that be painful, but tedious too! See your other question for tips on waxing or bleaching. Good luck!
a girl i no waxed her upper lip n she sed it hurt a lot n also she had a red spotty mark there for ages i wud suggest bleaching it, much more pain free lol! xx
I use Nair as its very gentle, just smear it on wait 4-5 mins and rinse off. I use moisteriser afterwards.
FINA - does this Nair work on leg hair as well? I haven't tried that before.
NAIR is an amazing product....try it!

I have really low pain tolerance levels and very very sensitive skin. However, I have been waxing my upper lip for as long as I can remember now and the pain is tolerable (and with time, you get used to it). It doesn't leave any spots or rashes although occasionaly there is some temporary redness which usually disappears in a few minutes. I would definatly say go for it lop. Try ready to use Veet wax strips for face. I think they cost about 5 but last for ages. Also, waxing means hair free skin for ages. It's important to remember everyones skin is different so try waxing a small part of the area first - I know that'd be hard on your upper lip!!

PS I think you'd feel more pain with plucking as you pull the hair out one at a time but with waxing, it's all off in one pull. Also, hair removing creams are not meant to be good in the long run as I have many friends who speak negative of them - they can cause pigmentation over time due to harsh chemicals contained within them! Also, you're not really 'hair free' for long. Sorry for a long answer, i'll go now.

Hi smudge,I use it for facial hair, underarms and yeh my legs and they feel all nice and silky afterwards:---)

FINA, I usually wax my legs, but when the hair eventually grows back, I shall give Nairn a try, thanks.

sweetheart - I have to agree with you on waxing the upper lip, as two of my sisters do this & it lasts a very long time. Also the redness soon calms down after a day or so.

I have my upper lip waxed, and there are more enjoyable things I could be doing in that time, yes....but I imagine plucking your entire upper lip hurts a lot more. My therapist tweezes the odd one out that she misses, and it really stings! The pain with waxing is only momentary, and it takes a couple of minutes.

Also, depending on your colouring, and thickness of hair, you could stay hair free for weeks, and eventually, the hair is likely grow back thinner if the waxer is doing it properly. I would recomend giving it a go once at least.

Depending upon your skin type people react differently to different products and treatments. Waxing is a good idea as it is quick and over quickly, bleching is an option but i found some of my clients with sensitive skin react to it and it can feel like it burns, nair is a good idea as well but doesnt' last so long.Plucking is a long tideous process so if you want long lasting results go for wax.I would recommend you go to a therapist first to have it done and ask as many questions as you want we are there for that too.If you decide to do it yourself do a ptach test first and leave it 24 hours before you do the rest to save you reacting and coming out in alovely rash the same should be done for any nair products or bleach. If you do wax make sure you really stretch the skin this way it won't hurt so much as it pulls the hair follicles open more and after a bath is always best as your pores are more open too, remember to always pull against hair growth as well. Good luck! Chops
it hurts a litle bit b ut if you follow the directions then the redness goes away in about an hour.....only wax one area one time or you will peal off your skin
