Im stuck on a few details. I will post the first one here and then go onto the others. Any help appreciated

George Wm Chubb. The only birth I can find is 1884 in Chelsea (although we thought he was from Yorkshire) anyway on marriage to Florence May Archer in 1911, it shows his father as Harry Chubb deceased. I found him 1911 census as a soldier living with the Archer family, so it seems like the correct one, but I cannot find him or his family on any other census
His marriage shows him age 27 living at 1 Thornleigh Grove, Leeds

TIA

Where did you find him living with the Archers in 1911. If it's the same one I have him born in Chelsea but in 1911 he's in the Artillery Barracks in Chapeltown, Leeds.
Hmm I see in the 1911 he's been entered twice, once at his Barracks and once at the Archers. The 1 Thornleigh Grove address is the Archer's house.
I don't suppose one of the marriage witnesses is called Clara ????? are they?
I've found a George Chubb born 1884 in the 1901 census, and he would appear to match as he is living in the Royal Artillery Barracks at Woolwich, however he gives his place of birth as Chester, Cheshire.
A Harry Chubb married a Clara Leigh in 1880 in Chelsea. He was a lot older than her, in the 1881 census he is shown as 64 and she is 36. He is also a gentleman of independent means. I think he died in 1887.
I can find Clara in 1891, 1901, and 1911 as a Widow of Independent Means but I can never find her with George Wm, having said that apart from 1891 he would show as being in the Army.

thanks Craft. His marriage witnesses are Herbert Blackhouse ? and Isabella Freller ? (bit diffficult to read) and the address on marriage cert is 1 Thornleigh Grove and Florence and he are living there at time of marriage.Although it does say on marriage cert he is a labourer and yet census of same years shows him as soldier ? Very confusing.

Craft -You found him on 1891 census ??
The 1901 census shows him in R A Barracks, but he would only be 6 ??
No I said aside from 1891 which I can't find him on, he would have been in the army (at least I think that's what I said)
on the 1901 census in the barracks he was 17.

Im still having trouble. Can anyone please help now I have sent for the birth certificate of George William Chubb b10 March 1884 in Chelsea. Father looks as if could be Henry (plumber) not Harry. Mother is Elizabeth Jane Chubb, formerly Kingston. Born at 93 Robert Street, I presume Chelsea. I still cannot find them, even on street search.
