Hi - I run a Ladies group (most of us are middle aged :( and not that clever at making things!) but I want to do an evening at the end of May where we can sit round just for an hour and make something or do an activity connected with the Jubilee. Can you think of any ideas - simple to make or do please? Already done cupcakes (or that would have been ideal)

You could make some Jubilee bunting maybe.

Yes but think it would look a bit "Blue Peter-ish!"
Know what you mean ( heres one I prepared earlier ) lol.
what about making some red, white and blue ice lollies?

sell them to local kids ... money to charity
We're having a Jubilee quiz at work, and we're each taking a decade and thinking up five questions each related to that decade. (It's a very small workplace!) Could you maybe think up a trivia quiz related to the Queen's reign?
Is whatever you make to be used for something, or displayed somewhere?
what about some shortbread biscuits, decorated with red white and blue ??

Thanks for all your good suggestions - will give them some thought. I like the idea of the shortbread biscuits which we could decorate in red, white and blue icing. Maybe too complicated to do a proper union jack on them haha ! We meet in the Church Hall but there is a large oven in the kitchen. Many thanks :)
Red,white and blue table decoration. Flowers, real or artificial.......feathers....ribbons etc.. Could start with decorating plain white bowl or cup perhaps.
