Colonic Irrigation & Psyllium Husks
8 Answers
I've just booked an appointment to have a colonic irrigation treatment and I was told by the clinic to take psyllium husks for five days prior to the appointment. Is this REALLY necessary or does it make the whole process a lot smoother? (sorry, no pun intended...)!
Thanks

My therapist never told me to take anything before though, I guess it depends how blocked up you feel. Usually on your first visit they won't be able to get all the way round the bowel so taking the psyllium husks probably helps the process. Good luck and don't worry. You'll feel much better afterwards.

That was a good link I'd thought of having it done myself but i wouldnt now, I know someone who gets this done on a regular basis and when I asked about it she told me to start taking the husks because I would be told to take them so I did and I found I was much better for taking them and felt I didnt need the colonic in the end.
