In reply to the 'white trash' sex groomers
There has been a few claims on here that the rapists picked white girls because Muslims would not abuse their own.
Well, one does

Sex abuse is not confined to gender, colour, race or religion. It is widespread throughout the world, sadly. One group is no worse.

Sorry - I should've been clearer...
There have been a staggering TEN threads posted since the trial ended, and the focus on easy post has been largely the same. Now, it's expanded to an unrelated story which seems to prove to the poster that 'Muslims abuse their own too'.
What everyone seems to be missing in their heroic levels of Muslim-hate, is that there are vulnerable children involved in this case, and rather than focussing on men who are rightly in jail, we should be thinking about why as a society we have allowed children to become so lost that they become 'easy prey'.
Why the hell are there so many kids in care for a start?
Why are there so many single parents?
Why are there so few opportunities for great swathes of the country?
Why are social services so stretched?
If people cared, they would be asking these questions, rather than hunting around for stories to prove some point.

I have not been hunting round, simply reading the news.
There are many reasons for children being in care - they have no family; the parents are inadequate/drug dependent/alcoholic; the parent is in prison; the parent is ill; the parent abused the child; the parent can't cope....endless reasons. Sometimes it is because the child is out of the control of the parent - out of control in general.
There are so many single parents because being a single parent is now acceptable, as is divorce.
Social services is stretched because there are not enough social workers, and in any case their hands are tied. Children in care cannot be locked up, cannot be physically punished and if they are determined to run away they will.
Although parents can be locked up for failing to send a child to school, a social worker can't - and in any case I doubt the child would care.
I wish I had the answers that would put these problems right, but I don't.

it appears complaints in this case may also have been ignored by the police

Yes I agree we have many problems that need addressing, but we should not shy away from discussing such cases just because the perpetrators happen to be dark skinned, or belonging to a certain religion.
Even if we could resolve all those problems that you highlighted, (which we can't), this will not subdue the lusts of certain individuals, what then a huge increase in rapes upon more mature women?
