Whats the best range of sauces to use for steamed chicken?
3 Answers
Hello, I've recently got into steaming chicken for my bf who's been having it plain or with tommy or brown sauce but he's bored now and want to add sauces so what is the best way to do this, marinade in sauce and then steam it or steam it and then pour in some sauce into the container before freezing?
Another question is what sauces have got a good variety and are good value for money? I was thinking of pataks sauces and maybe smearing a little one the chicken before steaming? Would that work?
Last thing is once the chicken has cooled can I put this with rice into a container and freeze it? Would it still taste as good when it comes out and how long will it keep in the freezer for?

I've tried a couple they are quite nice and the chicken cooks in its own juices. You can freeze cooked chicken but I'd freeze it separately and add it to rice once defrosted
Is there any particular reason for not freezing the chicken with the rice rowanwitch?
As I'm pushed for time with the kids, household chores and work I thought it might be better to put the veg, chicken and rice in several containers which the bf could just take out the freezer the night before to defrost it and take it to work where he has a microwave.
Rowanwitch do those bags come with sufficient seasoning or do you still have to add extras?
