Don't let anybody fool you into thinking Robbie Williams falls into this category.

If they even think of Justin Timberlake, they deserve a slap.

depends what u mean by good, if u mean successful in their own right then i think robbie n justin would get that accolade. but if u mean good as in good music, hmmm, well, i guess thats a matter of opinion, but seeing as they come from boyband routes u can't expect nething too amazing or out there.
Michael Jackson?
Youre getting confused again. Boy bands, major record companies, manufactured groups etc aren't interested in good music. They are interested in selling records and making money.

The quality of music (or lack of it) has nothing to do with it.

"pop music" is in itself an oxymoron of sorts. As it is not the music thats popular but the image of the star/ artist.

So the question is in a way a non-starter. The chances of a boy band (or member of) to have a record of any significant quality are miniscule. Immeasurably small.

Successful = yes. all the time

good, no, never.
WHat about Brian Wilson? from the Beach Boys. Not certain if he did any solo stuff mind.
Do the Beatles count?
Sting, Ronan, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Fatboy Slim, John Lennon....

PHIL COLLINS ,STING? Please pardon my ignorance but Phil Collins? STING no way pal.

LOL - just testing.

I thought my Ronan answer would be the one to make the blood boil!

The Monkees were a manufactured band at the start of their careers.

Mike Nesmith went on to become a successful and critcally acclaimed country artist in his own right.

Does that count?

No way, Country and western thats the sort of stuff that rots the brain.
Jimmy Osmond

You have got to be kidding when you slate the very talented Justin Timberlake from the very successful and very talented N*Sync. Also J C Chasez has had a successful solo career.

I know you will be wanting their website so here it is

gormless.... tut tut

One word answers your question - NO!!!!
All boy band members are jobless dancers with no talent.
The people with the talent are the people who manage and market them. But i wish they wouldn't inflict that type of garbage on us normal people.
Will 666, get back in your pram wee boy! you dont have any talent so why slag off the boys that make it! jealosy methinks
Jealous, me? Of course. I wish i could make **** loads of money by having no talent. Anyone who can do that is a complete genius. Trouble is, i have **** loads of talent and no money.
methinks u r a wee bit bitter and a tad untalented
Just being honest. It's only an opinion. I thought it was a good answer to the question.
Will - think again petal
Would you rather me say i love boybands and that its bad to slag them off?
