I think we should claim the Sudetenland! Hitler's argument and motives were similar but he was rather more active.
The last monarch who fell foul, with finality, of Parliament or a powerful faction, was James II in the C17. He was chucked out and replaced by William III who was invited to invade and was then crowned jointly with his wife, Mary. They were obliged to sign a contract whereby they did what they were told and not interfere, no messing (not quite how David Starkey would have put it, but that was the effect of the law)
