8mm cine film, digital photos.
4 Answers
I have a quantity of old 8mm cine film.( unfortunately some time in the past, the side perforations have been badly damaged) I want to take digital photos of some of the individual frames on the film. Has anyone any experience or suggestions how best to do this?

problem is 8mm is pretty small ... this means you are going to have to scan at high resolution ... which will need a relatively fast machine (or a lot of patience).
and 8mm film isn't going to be the best quality
given the "specialist" nature of the work I'd be tempted to take an example to Jessops, PC World, Currys etc etc .... and see if they can demonstrate (jessops may actually know what they're talking about)

Thank you ACtheTROLL for your suggestions.
Because the 8mm frames are so small is why I thought that photographing with a digital camera (8Mpx.) would be better than scanning? But lighting the images would not be so easy.
I will ask at Jessops as you suggested. Time is the problem to do these things!
