just had someone phone me up saying they were from windows,they said someone was trying to hack into my laptop from Nigeria.Said i could not speak to him now as i had visitors,he said he would phone back in an hour has anybody else ever had this or do you think its a scam.

I had a call last night saying he was an engineer from micro soft....I stuck the phone in front of the radio & let him listen to the Archers for 10mins...

I did that too, carrust. With the Archers when Nigel Pargiter fell off the roof. The so-called Microsoft man committed suicide apparently.

It isn't that painful, Sandy. Someone worked out that the beloved Nigel fell from a roof 132 feet high. Short of the church, where are the houses that high in Ambridge?

Had a few of these myself over a period....I start singing until they hang up....people who use the Internet should take a quick course in scam recognition...not rocket science and worth the effort ;-)

i agree to it and start pretending to follow their instructions, let them hear me tapping on the keyboard, inventing fake error message and fake buttons and boxes and pretending the computer is going very slow today, and even doing a crash and restart etc haha
generally waste their time

funny to hear them getting impatient
