OH in Munich watching the match and I've the bed to myself, woohoo, well that's if the dog says off it, off for a cuppa then bed to watch the last two episodes of The Bridge. Only drawback, have to be up at 6.30 to pick him up at the airport.

Hmmmmmm? ;-)
Nobody NEEDS Ann Summers parties or Hen Nights, but perhaps they enjoy them. Personally, I like doing things with my female friends as well as with groups of both sexes. What I do like is that Mr LL and I do not need to be together for 100% of the time and that we both have freedom to do things we enjoy that we know the other won't enjoy. And there are lots of things we do together. I find it totally unnatural that people can't do things apart and quite honestly I don't know any couples that are like that.
Lottie, I couldn't agree with you more. OH and I do lots of things together, but we do just as many separately - he's not involved in my after-work activities, he works away a lot so we just get on with our lives. Makes it more interesting when we ARE together, but neither of us want to live in each other's pockets.
I am now going to bed to join Mr LL who will be snoring and snuffling and slinging his arms about, etc. ;o). When he gets up in the morning I treat myself to an extra hour or so in bed all by myself - wonderful!! Goodnight./
Lottie. Truth is I was curious. I`ve never actually been to an Ann S party and I don`t enjoy hen parties but have a great group of girlfriends and OH would drop me and fetch me. Our relationship was like yours. Easy going , friendly and loving together or apart.
lol - for me it's a win win. OH loves hillwalking and me not so much - not the kind of stuff he does anyway - I'm happy for him to go do that on his own - I love getting the peace without having to consider him and he feels guilty for having the day to himself so takes the kids of my hands for the next day - I love it!!!!
Give and take, that's what it's all about. I'm lucky that I love my own company - I know a lot of people don't like being on their own, but I've long been self-sufficient if nobody else is around.
You`ve cracked it then annie!
I love meeting up with friends and having a good chin wag and gossip over a cuppa in town. I am absolutely certain that Mr LL would run a mile if I asked him to join us ;o). Not that I would!!!
Just thinking - my son has gone camping with his friends this weekend - a sort of stag do. His fiancee is happily sitting at home drinking cider and watching a chick flick!! She has just sent me a text saying she has had a lovely day!! Quite normal, I think :o)
yup gness - not that I don't love him, but the kids and I have a great time when he isn't around as I let them get away with things that he is unnaturally strict about and they have a great time with him doing stuff that I don't enjoy like going to the pool and doing all the waterslide stuff......then we can have a nice family dinner and movie together and nobody has moaned at anybody :o)
I like my own company, my OH plays bowls, and he also takes bowls to repair. We enjoy our time apart, and we sleep separately, I have arthritis and since my hip op I found it easier to sleep alone.... starfish. He still comes in to my bed the next morning for a cuddle though.
Exactly annie. Mine worked away from time to time, Bliss and bliss when he came home. He took the kids to football. I stayed home. OH the quiet!
AYG. My OH bowled til he was ill. Another quiet morning! When he died I had three sets off his bowls. Didn`t want to part with them so I lined the bottom of the pond we built with them.
