In the bottom of my cutlery drawer, I have come across a small but quite heavy stainless steel knife made by H.Wild of Sheffield.
I've never seen it before, so I'm assuming it was my father's at some point, and I've unknowingly inherited it.
It has the logo of Caledonian Airways on it......
Surely a Airline wouldn't hand out metal knives, or if they did, how long ago would it have been?
BA bought BCal in 1988 and British Airtours (BAs charter wing) became Caledonian Airways because they wanted to keep something of the BCal name/logo in existence.
erin - a nice £700 - I put the bet on the day after it was first shown on tv. It was between the dog and the bloke who lost his keys, so I chose the dog 'cause I thought it had a better chance getting on the Royal Variety Performance.....
....though I'll probably lose it at the races next week :-)
