I have just switched to Google Chrome to get away from that maddening Firefox problem.

Don't tell me they have sorted it now.
I've never had that problem with IE9.................

I'm not on FF but it was happening anyway.
I never had to refresh anyway, I'm on IE9
I am on FF and did think of changing to Chrome but I like FF and all my add-ons.

I sometimes have to hit enter and then refresh to see my answer.

I enter competitions on t'web and have noticed that some of them don't work in FF and I have to use IE.
I dumped IE9 ages ago, as Chrome is so much faster and more reliable.

I reloaded IE8, though, and only use that because the antiquated Times Crossword Club and Grauniad Crossword websites only allow print preview on IE.
Just fired up Firefox, as a test.
No, not fixed. You still have to refresh.

You can get add ons on Chrome, Wolf.
I got Adblock easily.

Also it has a spellcheck on it.
I'm still refreshing
Still refreshing...:-((
just curious why are so many people against Internet Explorer? any time a thread discusses browsers, as soon as IE is mentioned there is normally a derogatory comment to follow.
Because it's rubbish...:-)
lots of things are rubbish nox ;)
...indeed, but you did ask ;-)
Putting it another way, then, in comparison to other browsers IE is rubbish.
I dont understand why there is a need to continually criticise a web browser and offer a suggestion of an alternative just because someone mentions they use it.
I've got IE9 now and I'm not sure I like it. It overprints so I have to press the enter key to clear it.
Hopkirk - I need 'autofill' as well. And some way of working a keyboard with a cat lying on my arms. I am happy(ish) with FF. My laptop is using Safari.
It's simply that IE is so bad in comparison to other browsers that many problems people experience with websites can be solved by abandoning it for a better one.
I've tried Chrome and Firefox, but personally prefer IE9
