1990 fiesta stalling problem-distributor?

my fiesta has an intermittent stalling problem.It only does it when warm -often after a run.We think we have tracked it to the distributor (maybe) .
But how to get into the 'strib'? I dont have a workshop manual as the whole car was �65 6 months ago }
Anyone help?

along the right track, but dont think it's the dizzy. try the ignition coil first as they tend to break down internally when hot, which is a result of them malfunctioning anyway...

How much is a Haynes?  Wouldn't it be worth it to save you loadsamoney eventually?

My local libraries (Leicester) have Haynes manuals if you cannot beg borrow or steal one. Maybe your town/city libraries do too?
