vintage leather jacket

I have just been given one but it has a horrid smell after being in the roofspace for 25 years! short of drycleaning, how can i get rid of the smell?

get some saddle soap..i use it to wash leather with and i saw kim and aggie use it on how clean is your house on television..I got mine from a shop called barratts they sell tents and horse riding equipment..just look in your local phone book for people selling equestrian things ...i.e saddles..horse riding clothes..wash it with the saddle soap and hang it up to air do it twice and the smell will go..
