Don't Worry ...

Even though the SuperLeague season is over, I will bring you interesting Netball titbits from ... well, everywhere, really.
This weekend, there was a game between the Northern Mystics and the Melbourne Vixens (in Australia).
In the final quarter, the Vixens were ahead. The Mystics had a shot on goal. The Vixens players grabbed their Goal Defender, Anna Harrison, and hoisted her into the air (like they do in Rugby?).
SO now there's a bit of a debate going on about whether the move is legit, and a pooring over the rule book.
(it may sound like a really useful move to black a goal, but remember that, seeing the defender rising into the air, the goal shooter doesn't have to release the ball ... she can keep hold of it, and the defender then looks a bit stupid as she hovers in the air for nothing and, as she drops, the shooter pops the ball through the hoop with no obstruction).
I know you're going to be sad if I don't let you know about these things.
