Did anyone hear something along the lines of "simplicity is the knife that cuts through the complexity of life" or something along those lines this morning on Chris Evans' BBC2 breakfast show?
It was something like that, I cannot listen to it online as I don't have the correct software, I just wanted to know what the actual quote was - above is just a guess, as I missed the first part of the quote......
Yes, he did. He was quoting from Sir Terry Leahys book on management and leadership, Terry Leahy being the former CEO of Tescos, and credited with its transformation to second string grocer to dominant force.

Thank you. Really appreciate your post, and subsequent answer to my question.........it was driving me mad!
Was it as I said? Or was the wording slightly different? I thought it was my sleepy ears letting me down1st thing - maybe not though, would be delighted if its right???!
I think the actual quote is " simplicity is the knife that cuts through the tangled spaghetti of life's complexities " or something very close to that :)
Thanks all!
Hey jake, you know I truly believe life is what you make it......it is what you believe it is. If everyone around disagrees then sod them!
I personally loved that this morning, lifted my spirits - as this is what, (previously unbeknown to me till now), myself and hubby try to achieve daily and after 14 yrs canna be too wrong!?
