old 60,s tv show

The Barnstormers or similar anyone heard of it or seen it .Show is about a group of kids in an abandoned windmill that solves mystery cryptic pussles each week.This has been bugging me for 40 years, help me please.

DIMLY-RECALLED kids series from the end of the 60s, about a group of kids in an English town who decided to write up their weekly adventures as a newspaper. The main kid in it was about 14 or so, with longish black hair and perhaps a bit on the podgy side. One episode revolved around a windmill.

Hooray, someone else who remembers The Barnstormers. It was on in 1964 and I can remember watching the whole 6? episodes. I can't remember the whole plot but there was something about a gang of kids in what I thought was an old water mill. All full of spooky goings on and haunted houses etc. I seem to recall they were trying to put some sort of a show on. As far as I know its never been repeated.

Thank God someone else remembers this. Beginning to think I dreamt it all up. Did they not resore an old printing presss in a disused something or other? I remmeber the windmill episode vaguely...
