Has anyone actual been to the Hay Festival? What actually happens, I am curious as to how they fill a whole week.

Hi chi-chi - taped it and zapped my way through it as he wasn't on it! Actually seeing my brother in person tomorrow (his daughter is being christened) so I will ask him about it if I get a chance.

A couple of my friends are going to this on wednesday to see Terry Pratchet but as i am not a fan of his books i declined the offer. I think it is meant to be a nice few days learning about authors you have or haven't heard of to find something new and what not, although as i haven't been myself then i can't be sure but one thing i would guess is it sounds quite poncey and out of my intelligence rating!

We live in Hereford so it is very near for us (but hardly a family day out) - I just thought it sounded a bit poncey.
