MM Links Results May 2012 Week 4

What a fantastic start to the new month.
Rain may have dampened the enthusiasm of the Jubilee celebrants but nothing could hold you back here.

'Don Corleone' (aka deecee131, ab123, or something) shied away from setting links on the obvious and instead chose challenges from his own recent experiences as told in his introduction.
Cricket teams, getting sunburnt, and other ABers; gliffyg, Rockfordill, gen2.
Unfortunately, gen2's cousins, the ROCKHOPPERS didn't get a look-in, so I can now reveal that the point-scoring pairings were:

CLIFF HANGER
BURNT UMBER
ROCK HARD / HARD ROCK
TEAM SPIRIT

As previously suggested, this was a great week for scoring points. 42 players competed and 32 scored at least 1 point.

17 players chose TEAM SPIRIT and 14 of them also chose CLIFF HANGER. Is that a coincidence, E.S.P. or or synchronicity?

Anyway, all links were quickly discovered.

Player #2, Rockfordill, at 9:01, collected both the above pair for 4 points as did Brenden, Owllady & Strix also for 4 points.

Middlestump, Christiana, Manxiemo, Evsajo, Patchett & Boxtops matched one of those within the bonus window for 2 points each.

Boxtops was also first with BURNT UMBER quickly followed by Kawakiri & Tearinghair each for 2 points. (Pressumably, 'burnt amber' is something quite different?)

In the meantime, Grannydi had picked up a HARD ROCK for 2 points.

Many singles and doubles followed throughout the game but outstanding amongst them was a single TRIPLE-HITTER.
Just before 6pm Saturday, Lysander matched 'cliff hanger', 'burnt umber' and 'team spirit' for 3 points and therefore:-

The 'Don' will try to shoot more players down next time. However, it is impossible to send all my 'boys' out to sort all of you out to get everything wrong. Even cliffyg gained one point and that will cost the 'Don'. I can send the boys round to his house as he is only a short hop away. Beware visitors cliffyg!
With my guest delivery man (Gen2) doing a brilliant job, except for getting my name wrong, I may have to send the boys to see him also, but not until July.
I cannot wait to see if I can beat you all next week.
