Maybe there is something odd with the sound, I saw him live only a few years ago and he was fantastic. Bit odd a number of the acts sounds like they've got some kind of ill fitting false teeth thing going on! The recording sound did sound funny earlier.

Ahh I didn't realise he'd been poorly. I still think he's great and I guess it would have been gutting to turn down the chance to do the Jubilee. He is an incredible performer, so talented with the piano as well.

I missed the first half as I watched the soaps, but hit the mute button after a few bars from Shirley Bassey and Stevie Wonder ........ gosh I live in a semi and those racuous sounds from Shirley B even came through the wall from next door! Yes I loved the finale ...... what brilliant music and fireworks. Also loved Alfie Boe and Renee............... bet the Queen liked that best too..
