This is one part of the cost, others to follow.


The culture department has estimated that the extra bank holiday could cost Britain's ailing economy £1.2bn.

Myself, I think H.M. deserves the acknowledgment from the UK + the Commonwealth for the work she does, It's the hanger ons that need to be sorted.


They say the Pageant stands to be 10Million + Was it worth it?

Never been in The red Lion. I grew up in The Volunteer, Abington Square....I don't often venture out of Abington, nowadays :-)
I'm not English and I thought it was a brilliant celebration for a Monarch that has ruled with dignity, courage and great values and morals. How many other countries could achieve this.

I would have thought all the revenue created by the crowds in London would have helped towards the economy as well.
Restaurants, underground, buses, food stalls, flag manufacturers, etc.etc.
