Hi everyone

I have lost a folder with a sub folder with details of my work as a Captain for a Team in golf, also sub folder for recording my blood pressure for my Dr at regular intervals.

I have tried search, system restore, recycle bin, hidden files and folders - does anyone have any idea how I can retrieve this file.

We did have a power cut the other day and my desktop said Restore Active Desktop - could this be anything to do with it?

Any help gratefully received

If the folder has been accidentally deleted, then it may still be on your hard drive but not visible to you. First, try not to use the computer if avoidable as you may just be overwriting the space containing your folder info.
Google for and download one of the following recovery programs which allow you to see what is on your hard drive.
The folder/file name may be starting with a different letter/number but you will probably still recognize it.
Use the instructions in whichever recovery program you are using to undelete the file or save it to another folder of your choice.
Recovery programs = 1. Fast File Undelete, 2. Rest2514, 3. Recuva.

Good luck.
if you remember what the file name started with then, search using that letter & (*) as a wildcard - this should bring anything with that letter in its filename, then look through until you find required folders - if it's still available.
