If HMRC owe you any money at all - or you think they do but aren't sure - whether it is income tax tax credits, child benefit or anything else, you can reclaim it all absolutely free of charge by contact HMRC directly. Call their helpline or go to their website.
Generally, If you use a company whose business model is charging you for a service you can get for free elsewhere, do not complain if the service you get is less than perfect. There are lots of companies with that business model. Be aware.

I claimed through these people and after 21 months of waiting was entitled to £53 Finally after 12 weeks of being informed of this i got through to them only to be told that i wont get this as their charge is £94 for recovering this!!!!! Another hard lesson in life learnt :-( what a scam, am sure i am not alone. wont be doing that again. Lets hope they dont send me a bill for the remaining £41 of their fee!
Try this website: http://www.taxcredits...-repayment-claims.php
I did the same, thought I was claiming directly off HMRC, until my shock when I phoned them to discover that I had signed my claim over to this agency. I emailed them and actually got in contact by telephone on the same day, they informed me that it would take three weeks for my cheque to be sent out.
I will be torturing them everyday until I receive it, if not then I have the address of the office, and I will be on the first plane over to wreck the place!!!!!
Also have a look at this article I found: http://news.bbc.co.uk.../business/7785813.stm

I received my repayment from them, but they are useless.
I applied for a repayment for the tax I paid two years ago, sent them my p60, they did not even use it. They just showed HMRC that bit of the form where you sign that they have authority to act on your behalf, then all payments from then were to be sent to them. So payment that was owed for this year, which was a fortune, was cut without me even knowing. They then sent me a letter saying that if I wanted payment for previous years I would have to send them the calculation. So basically, they are just cheque clearing company.
If you registered with them, be careful and tell the HMRC you are in charge of you tax, otherwise, it will be on their system that cheques are automatically sent to the Agency. I lost nearly 300 pounds for nothing. But now that I told HMRC, they are sending me cheques by the post with no delays whatsoever. You only need to contact them by letter or through the website. Whereas the Agency will only send you a basic, rubbish letter, which isn't even signed or printed properly and will only actually waste time with you when they see you are a reliable source of money.
Good luck.
